audio Documentary training and workshops at Tanzanian community radio Jamii fm in Mtawara
The assignment of the training was to strengthen and provide new ideas for documentary production which is connected to the station's income generation. Part of the training package was a full presentation including creative and journalistic examples to reflect on and be inspired by.
The second focus was to strengthen the overall sound of the station and make it more appealing to its target audience. The content of this training was learning how the presenters can step outside of their journalist persona which is more of a trustworthy voice of authority and speak to their community in a more relatable and friendly way.
The training was geared towards skills-transfer, capacity building and knowledge exchange.
